According to the "SEMI S26-0308 Environmental, Health, and Safety Guideline for FPD Manufacturing System" issued in March 2008, the conventional combination of a red button with a yellow background cannot be used for switches that stop only limited areas or parts (partial stop).
Therefore, for machines and equipment that require partial stop, IDEC proposes nameplates and guards with yellow buttons or white backgrounds!
