The IDEC Safety Commander™ is a purpose-built safety device that lets you turn a commercial tablet into a rugged, safety-compliant industrial human-machine interface (HMI). It securely holds a tablet and integrates hardwired safety controls — such as an emergency stop (E-stop) and three-position enabling switch — so that the tablet can be used safely for machine control, robot teaching, AGV/AMR operation, and other industrial applications. The HT3P model supports 8–11" tablets, while the HT4P model expands compatibility to 10–13" tablets, adds wired LAN communication, provision for additional mechanical switches, and enhanced ergonomic and usability features.

The IDEC PLC+HMI (Programmable Logic Controller + Human Machine Interface) series combines the functionality of a powerful, compact PLC with a robust, user-friendly HMI in a single unit.
