Development of Eco-Friendly Products
Basic concept
Since our founding in 1945, the IDEC Group has been developing its business with consideration for the environment, under the “Save all” policy introduced in 1982, based on the concept of saving and reducing. In FY2023, we revised the Procedure Manual for the Development of Eco-Friendly Products and are working to develop products with a focus on environmental considerations from the first stage of the product development process.
The procedure manual evaluates the degree of environmental consideration based on IDEC’s own criteria, such as resource conservation, energy saving improvement, and longevity. Based on these criteria, we develop products with the aim of achieving decarbonization. Products evaluated as having a high degree of contribution are certified as eco-friendly products and disclosed in catalogs and other media by affixing IDEC’s own original eco mark, in accordance with ISO/JIS Q 14021 (Type II).
Environmental Label (Eco-mark)
We have created am original eco-mark based on our basic spirit of "SAVE ALL". The mark is stamped on the leaflet of products that are certified as "enhanced eco-friendly products" to appeal to our customers.

Safety controller “FS1B series”
The “FS1B series” safety controller comes preloaded with 24 circuit patterns that are frequently used in manufacturing environments and have already obtained safety certification (TÜV Rheinland). This enables customers to easily build safety systems and obtain safety certification without the need for complex programming.

Saving resource and space
By reviewing and optimizing internal circuitry, we reduced the number of electronic components used, resulting in a 15% reduction in product weight compared with conventional models. In addition, by reducing the product’s width, we achieve space savings that also contribute to the downsizing of installed equipment.Ease of disassembly
We design our products without the use of screws or adhesives so that customers can easily disassemble and dispose of components in consideration of recycling when the products are discarded.
