This depends if the Retentive feature is Used or Not Used for a function block. There are 15 different types of function blocks that have the retentive memory (REM) feature. Please refer to the Instruction Manual-Chapter 3.7 for more information on the REM function. For FL1B series, the following function blocks have retentive features: Latching Relay, Current Impulse Relay, Up/Down Counter

Depends on the program size. Shown below for your reference, is the scan time of Sample Program 1 (a measurement test program only) and Sample Program 2 (56 function blocks). The method used to measure the scan time is explained on Page 240 of the Hardware Manual (FL9Y-B826). Â

Yes. There are two ways to prevent unintended modifications of the program.
1. Please set up "copy protect" on the memory cartridge (FL1C-PM3: brown). When the copy protection is set up, the programming data cannot be read or changed on the LED panel, thus protecting from illegal copying and unauthorized changes. (Once the memory cartridge is removed from the SmartRelay, the program is erased in the SmartRelay.)
2. Create a Password. If a password is set up, the program cannot be changed without entering the correct password.
