Full Color Recognition Sensors
Differentiate subtle color changes and recognize specific combinations of colors. Detect even the slightest variation in shades of the same color. Average color sensors collect only grayscale information. Not the IDEC SA1K! It works directly from a color scale. Sensing more shades and colors with the highest quality, the SA1K provides options which LED models cannot. From any point in the manufacturing process, the SA1K calibrates at high-speed while remaining on-line. With the simplest programming in the industry, one touch memorizes true color. Whether your industry is pharmacy, packaging, or production, IDEC's SA1K is the application solution which will save you valuable time and money.
The SA1K can tolerate a range of hues similar to A, B, or C target colors or products to sort into color groups and can reject foreign objects travelling on conveyor belts. It can recognize a specific combination of different colors to check label orientation and multiple-color marks, and differentiate very subtle changes in color shade to maintain quality control. It can also detect translucent colors to check LED function and sort color-tinted, clear plastic objects. In addition, the SA1K uses multiple outputs individually or combined to signal up to five variations of the same color hue.
The SA1K full color sensor from IDEC employs a self-contained microprocessor, capable of recognizing slight variations in the preset reference color shade. Multiple SA1Ks can be combined and used with other types of IDEC sensors to accomplish the integrated sorting and sequencing processes. Select from nine degrees of sensitivity. Use low tolerance to distinguish between slightly different shades of the same color. Use high tolerance to accept a range of similar color or, set different tolerances for each of three reference colors. SA1K sensors are available in either 1- or 3-color models, with lens or fiber optic cable options.
