RU Relays - Announcing Several New Enhancements
RU Relay – Innovative Marking Plate System& Low Signal Switching Contacts Available

Sunnyvale–IDEC Corporation is proud to announce several enhancements to our popular RU series of general purpose relays.
Based on customer demand for a way of distinguishing various relays in a control panel, IDEC has developed an innovative and simple method of identifying the RU series of relays. Several different colored marking plates are now available that can be used to replace the standard marking plate found on the top of the RU relay.
These marking plates are available in yellow (standard color), green, orange, blue or white. In addition, the marking plates can be further identified by using either a pencil or pen to write directly on them. You can, in effect, create your own customized label that is actually part of the relay. The marking plates are located on the top of the relay rather than on the socket. This makes it extremely easy to see and write on the plate. Use the colored marking plates and/or personalized descriptions to differentiate between relay voltages, function or type. The marking plates are made of a durable and long-lasting PBT resin material and are easily interchangeable because they simply snap on or off. IDEC is the first manufacturer to develop such an inventive concept for general purpose relays.
In addition, IDEC has developed the RU relay with low signal switching bifurcated contacts. The RU42S model has a contact rating of 3 amps 250V AC while maintaining a minimum switching load of 100µA 1V DC, allowing you to use this relay for all your dry circuit switching needs.
What continues to set the RU apart from other relays is that there is no internal wiring, which translates into no weak solder joints and a completely lead-free manufacturing process. Moreover, the contacts are cadmium free, making the RU relays environmentally friendly. All IDEC RU series relays are UL and c-UL recognized, CSA approved, TUV approved, and CE marked in accordance with IEC61810-1. They come with a latching lever that is color coded for AC or DC coils, and are also available without a latching lever (or with momentary check button).
