Job Description :
Self-motivated and self-disciplined, you will be working out of your own home office. You will be responsible for your own travel schedule - noting that some overnight travel may be required. Mostly local driving, but estimate 30-40% travel time away from home a month.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have the ability and initiative, plus a proven track record, of closing the sale! Electrical Engineering Degree preferred, plus 2 years sales experience preferred selling PLC and Touch Screens and operator interface components. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are critical for this customer-interface position, plus proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word, & PowerPoint software.
Responsibilities :
- Territorial sales forecasts and maintaining customer reports.
- Making field sales calls on existing and prospective customers.
- Increasing the level of OEM business, through engineering and purchasing contacts.
- Maintaining customer contact reports for service and follow-up.
- Conducting training sessions with distributors.
- Handling sales promotions, and preparing quotes for special price competition.
- Working with customer's engineering staff to have IDEC products specified.
- Maintaining price realizing by working with the distributors to meet their contact levels.
