Smart I/O.

If you want to increase the performance of your PLCs while lowering your overall expenses, IDEC's SX5 Series Smart I/O is your networking solution. The SX5 Series is designed to reduce de-bugging costs while also decreasing wiring, installation and machine down time. The SX5 Series will communicate with most major industrial buses as well, including INTERBUS, DeviceNet™ and LonWorks®. This flexibility allows IDEC's SX5 Series to interface with PLCs from a variety of manufacturers, eliminating most compatibility issues.

Each SX I/O unit is available in the following packages: 16-point transistor input, 8-point relay output, 16-point transistor output, and 8-point transistor input and 8-point transistor output.

Other key features of the SX5 Series include:

• INTERBUS I/O compatible with IDEC's ONC (link) remote I/O unit
• Removable terminal blocks for easy maintenance
• Finger-safe spring up screw terminals
• Compact body (75mm x 132mm x 48mm)
• Mounting on a 35mm-wide DIN rail or on a panel surface
• Both inputs and outputs are available in sink or source types
• Relay outputs are also available
• The source output is protected against overload
