Web Server Module for IDEC MicroSmart Series PLCs

This tutorial will guide you through the process of uploading custom web pages into the Web
Server Module.

Step 1:

Please make sure the Web Server Module is already configured and able to communicate over
your Ethernet network. If you haven’t done this, please download and follow the instructions in
the Quick Start Guide before proceeding to the next step or visit the
Web Server Module web page for the link)

Step 2:

Create your web pages. If you haven’t created your web pages, download the sample web
pages that we provide below.

Note: The maximum memory size of the Web Server Module is 512KB. Make sure that the
size of your web pages does not exceed this memory capacity.

Step 3:

  1. Launch your browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape)
  2. In the URL window, type your IDEC Web Server Module IP address plus the /home.htm extension. (For example, if your IDEC Web Server Module IP address is 192.168.104.35 then type 192.168.104.35/home.htm.)
  3. The Digi Connect ME Configuration and Management screen will appear, click on File Management.
  4. Select all files under Manage Files and click the Delete button.
  5. Click the Browse button to select the file you want to upload and then click the Upload button. Repeat this step until all files are uploaded. (If using the sample web pages from IDEC, make sure all the files in the folder are uploaded.)
  6. Once you finish uploading all the files, click Home.
  7. Click the Set as Default button.
  8. Click Logout to exit.
  9. Your custom web pages are now uploaded to the Web Server Module. In your browser type in the Web Server Module IP address (i.e. 192.168.104.35), and your custom web pages will appear.
