Sunnyvale – IDEC Corporation is proud to announce its latest upgrade in software, WindO/I-NV2 version 2.51.
WindO/I-NV2 is IDEC’s screen creation software for the HG1B, HG2F, HG3F and HG4F operator interfaces (touch screen displays.) WindO/I-NV2 is used to create projects or programs that layout display screens for the O/Is. Using this Windows-based software, all of IDEC’s touch screens can display information from a PLC, review project status, or can be used to input data with virtual switches or keypads to make changes to a process.
Version 2.51 now supports downloading and uploading via Ethernet, TCP/IP modbus protocols and the O/I Link. The O/I Link can be used for performing 1:N communication (where one PLC is connected to multiple operator interface units). You can now download a project to multiple units at once, increasing productivity and efficiency. In addition, data and projects can be downloaded and uploaded to a compact flash card allowing information to easily pass between PLCs.
Creating colorful displays has never been easier. With a built-in Symbol Factory library you have 4000 plus built in images at your disposal. You can also import almost any Bitmap or JPEG file into your project. New features now include support for scripts and window type fonts. In addition, a Debug function has been added and you can now select from 16 different language groups.
Using WindO/I-NV2 is easy and intuitive. Many of the procedures are self-explanatory and guide you from step-to-step as you configure the O/I. The help menus are simple, straightforward, and provide a good resource for getting additional information.
WindO/I-NV2 operates on Window XP, ME, 2000, 98, 95 and Win NT v4.0 and comes with many communication drivers to talk to other PLCs such as Allen-Bradley, Omron, Modicon, GE Fanuc, Aromat, Siemens, Keyence, Koyo and many others.
