In the HMI (Human Machine Interface) environment where men and machines co-exist, human safety and ergonomics are our No. 1 concern. Furthermore, the development of technologies that conserve materials and energy — to improve the environmental quality and safety in wide perspectives — is becoming more important. IDEC is implementing “the creation of an optimum HMI environment,” as the company’s core objective, while constantly aiming to lead the world in research and development of HMI solutions and technology.

Our Main Focus:

・Complying with ISO standards, IEC standards, and other applicable international standards for Europe, America and Asia.
(2) Open Systems
・Moving from closed systems to open systems in networking - from information to controls.
(3) Conservation
・Pursuing conservation of energy, labor, and space to improve costs and efficiency.
・Complying with environmental standards such as ISO14001 in planning and developing products.
(4) Safety and Ease of Use
・Pursuing ergonomics and safety beyond compliance with PL laws (Product Liability – established in Japan in July 1995) and quality improvements.
・Complying with ISO12100（Machinery Safety Standards）－　Basic Concepts and General Principle for Design.
We will continue research and development of products that are attractive and easy to use while focusing on the above four points. At the same time, we will be constantly looking for new ideas and original concepts to improve our core competency.
