While we do offer a 120V incandescent bulb (part number L-120L) that will fit in most TW and HW series switches, it is not agency approved (i.e. UL, CE, CSA) in these series and we do not recommend using it. Instead, use of an LED lamp (LSTD-H2*) or transformer model of the switch (which will step down from 120VAC to 6VAC) is recommended. These options also allow for 240VAC and 480VAC (transformer option only).

There are many permutations of contact blocks and operator cams that can be combined to yield a large number contact closure sequences. Our TW, HW, and TWTD series are highly configurable. Cam tables in the catalog help with determining what setup will work for you. We will assemble custom contact arrangements and assign a unique part number for each arrangement to allow for future ordering. Contact technical support for details. Normally lead times will be no longer than for a standard model.

Yes, we have these available in both the TW and HW series. For example HW1S-4TF22N3 is a four position selector with one contact closure in each of the four positions. Five position models, such as HW1S-5TF22N3, are also available, however cam limitations require that the center position be an "OFF" with no contact closure there. For more flexibility and positions, a cam switch is suggested as in our CS series which uses a 30mm panel cutout.

We do not offer this option for these series of switches. The LW series (22mm panel cutout) is available with gold plated contacts. The TW, HW, and TWTD series use a self cleaning silver contact that can switch as low as 5mA at 3V AC/DC, which is much lower than most other manufacturer's silver contacts. Therefore a gold plated contact may not be necessary for your application.

For the TW, TWTD, and HW series the limit is six (6) contact blocks total, not to be stacked higher that three (3) deep. Contacts are mounted two (2) per level. Any combination of normally open or normally closed contact is possible and extra contacts can be ordered separately and added in the field.

We do have an accessory that adapts the TW series contact terminals to a quick connect. The part number for the .250" adapter is TW-FA1, two are required for each contact. This is only available in North America. In other countries you will need to source such an accessory from another manufacturer.

Although we do only offer DPDT contact configurations for A6 and L6 pushbuttons, because of the way the contact closure sequence works, you can produce a 3PST output (one output per position) via appropriate jumpering. Requirement is that all 3 loads are of the same voltage. Click here for wiring diagram.

Six (6) mm.

These numbers refer to different cam configurations of the operator. The cam configuration together with the type and mounting position of the contacts determine the overall contact behavior of the switch. Many permutations are possible. The "-1 cam" is most commonly used for 3 position HOA switches, and the "-3 cam" is most commonly used for 3 position 3PST (one contact closure per position) switches.
